Our local represents hundreds of workers across the state of New Mexico in many industries. From our roots as a telecom local, we’ve grown to represent non profit workers, bank workers, tech workers, and more! Our local is dedicated to fighting for working class power and empowering workers to take their seat at the table at the workplace. We are not a top down union, we are member led and driven and encourage participation in every aspect of our democratic union. Union members are empowered to contribute to their union in the way that they feel best about. For some, that’s becoming a steward and helping their coworkers on the shop floor, for others, that means participating in a committee. Whatever works best, we want every member to continue to feel that they have a place and a purpose within their union. We are stronger with the voices and power of many working together!
